Driftwood
Lodge is our very private cottage with a great view of the
cliffs on Summersville Lake.
It has a queen sized bed in the master bedroom with a unique
antique headboard and twin beds in the second bedroom.
The living room has a couch, love seat, wood burning fireplace,
tv, vcr and cd player and the complete kitchen includes
a microwave and a washer and dryer.
There is a Hot
Tub located on a large, partially covered, very private
deck with the above mentioned view and a grill, hammock
and fire ring in the secluded yard.
Linens, towels
and fire wood are all provided.
This cottage
is located on a ridge 300 ft. above Summersville Lake in
Mt. Nebo WV. You can walk to the lake via an old road. It
takes about 10 min. or so to get down there and you can
swim there if you like.
It's about a 10 min. drive from Carnifex Ferry and aprox.
20 min. from the New River Gorge Bridge and National River.
Of course it's located adjacent to CARNIFEX
FERRY BATTLEFIELD STATE PARK where there are miles of
trails to hike and 3 overlooks of the GAULEY RIVER GORGE
AND NATIONAL RECREATION AREA. It's also a 2 min. drive from
the beach at Summersville Lake and aprox. 20 min. from the
NEW
RIVER GORGE BRIDGE AND NATIONAL RIVER.
It's
also 30/45 minutes away from several other DANDY
DAY TRIPS.
